Happy Halloween from Vegas!
I actually slept in this morning until 10 a.m. and headed downstairs to grab some caffeine. Hearing KenoKid and KenoKandi rave about BANG! energy drink, I decided to try it and bought the “Peach Mango” flavor - although it’s taste bore no resemblance to its namesake — and let's not get into the number it did on my stomach.
After downing the BANG! and watching a few episodes of The Office, I readied myself and headed downstairs to load in some more FSP.
Although I was previously informed that my FSP would be available at any Caesars property, that was not the case as I found out after walking over to Caesars Palace to play Wheel of Fortune and was summarily denied.
As such, I defeatedly made my way back to The Cromwell and loaded $50 FSP into a Triple Diamond machine — after 10 spins at $5/spin, I had made $17. I slid over one machine and loaded in another $50 FSP and, after 10 spins had accumulated another $34 — making a total win of $51 on $100 FSP.

I then headed into the High Limit room to play blackjack but. alas, the 6D game was not open and the 2D game’s rules were not to my liking - no surrender, no double after split and they hit soft 17. I will wait until later.
A photo of the single zero roulette results for Mitch:
As I was taking the photo, a woman came up behind me and yelled “No photos in the casino!” It turned out to be my host trying to scare me - we chatted for a bit, she bought me a Starbucks and I told her the 6D game in High Limit was not open yet - she said that that was ridiculous and told me to only play when a table I liked opened up - love the no pressure outlook.
Still having stomach issues after the BANG! energy drink, I made my way to the High Linit slots area, thinking I would use my last $150 FSP on 3 spins of the Wheel of Fortune machine therein. Alas, it was not meant to be as the machine did not qualify for FSP usage.
I dejectedly headed to the “Cash Machine” slot and put in the final $150 FSP - that allowed me to have 15 pulls at $10/spin. It actually worked out nicely as, after completing the 15 pulls, I had won $146.

Well, it was bound to happen - I ran into the blackjack shoe from hell.
Lowlights of the shoe:
-dealer dealt herself 8 blackjacks;
-dealt a 4,7 v dealer King - doubled and dealt a 2 - but, hope against hope, the dealer turned over a 2 for 12 - however, she then pulled a 9 for 21;
-dealt a 6,6 v dealer 6, split: first 6 dealt a 5, doubled and dealt a 7 for 18; second 6 dealt a 3, doubled and dealt an 8 for 17; dealer turned over a 5 then drew an 8 for 19;
-the last 5 hands of the shoe resulted in my losing each hand by 1, with my hands never less than 18
The quick $2k I made in the first 2 days of the trip exists no more.

I decided to relax in the room for a bit licking my proverbial wounds until I realized, at about 7:30 p.m., that I had not eaten all day. Therefore, I made my way downstairs and headed over to the Flamingo’s food court and grabbed a stromboli, brought it back to the room and wolfed it down. The stromboli wasn’t goo and wasn’t bad — it just was.
Now, let’s see where the evening takes me while wearing my shiny shoes.
I headed down to the High Limit room and sat down at a table just as another gentleman was cashing out. I waited for the dealer to color up his chips and she asked if I wanted to continue the shoe or have her shuffle up — I chose the former and play commenced.
The first 3 hands continued my earlier misfortune, losing a 9,2 double down to a dealer 17. However, the tide soon began to turn as I was dealt an 8,8 v dealer 6:
First 8 dealt a Queen for 18;
Second 8 dealt a Jack for 18;
Dealer turned over an Ace — YES!
I was then 2 blackjacks over the next 5 hands and, as the shoe ended, I had won 700.

After days of attempting to do so, I was finally able to meet KenoKid, KenoKandi, VegasBestIdeas and LuckyDogSlots — 3 Vegas-loving couples who were just as friendly in person as they are on YouTube — I had a great time meeting them all and look forward to the next time.
Upon returning to The Cromwell, I played another shoe of blackjack - as I walked into the High Limit room, an Asian dealer said “This guy is lucky” - he said he never says that about anyone and, to his credit, he was correct as within 1 shoe, I had picked up $900.
