I woke up about 7am and headed for some Starbucks -- I knew today would be a fun day as I was going to eat at my favorite restaurant in the world Delmonico with my favorite appetizer - Parmesan & Truffle potato chips (served warm) and then I was going to check out Cirque du Soleil's Love (their Beatles show). By the time I got back to my room, I grabbed a shower and headed to the Venetian by ordering a LYFT -- well, the driver was a 50-something white guy who talked non-stop about breaking his apartment lease to buy a new house - telling me he was flat broke - then changing his story to tell me he owns a rental property in Fort Lauderdale - his phone also wasn't working so he was asking me directions to the Venetian from Park MGM - After enjoying a delicious meal I made my way through the Venetian towards Mirage:It was soon showtime at LOVE and the rave reviews were right on point - the opening number was "Get Back" and the whole vibe was amazing - sights, sounds, electricity in the air -- LOVE is definitely the best of the Cirque shows I have seen and would not hesitate to see it againHowever, the site (and taste) of these cured what ailed me
I walked back from the Mirage to the Park MGM and ran into the usual suspects on the Strip: the shell game scammers, Mickey and Minnie, Minions and all the rest. I was too tired to play two the day ended as it began: +1800
